Zeina Durra Writer/Director
Born in London, England of Middle Eastern Parents, Durra received her BA Hons in Oriental Studies, ( Arabic and Modern Middle East Studies) from Pembroke College, Oxford. Durra just received her MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Film Programme and graduated with the thesis film,The Seventh Dog, that she wrote, directed and edited. Her previous work includes the short films, Madame Gigi’s Perspective ( 8mins, 16mm, B&W;), Boedecia’s Handbag ( 3mins, 16mm, B&W), Revenge on a Board ( 10mins, 16mm Colour), No Exit a screen adaptation of Stare’s play ( video, 10mins), and her documentary Muslin ( video, 25mins). With a taste for comedy and extravagance Durra combines these themes with political undertones to communicate to her audience. Durra was awarded the Warner Bros Pictures Film Production Award for The Seventh Dog.

Diego Quemada Diez Director of Photography
Diego Quemada-Diez started his career in Film working as a camera assistant for British director Ken Loach (Land and Freedom, Carla’s Song). He graduated in 2001 from The American Film Institute (AFI) in the discipline of Cinematography with the AFI/Amex Anthony Hopkins scholarship award. His thesis film at AFI, A Table Is A Table, won the 2001 Robert Surtees Heritage Award for Outstanding Achievement In Cinematography by The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) as well as the 2002 International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) Award for Artistic Achievement in Cinematography. As Camera Operator he has worked for a great range of directors in such films as The Constant Gardener, 21 Grams, Man on Fire, She Hate Me, SFC, Bread and Roses and others. As Director of Photography he has shot Roads and Bridges, a film directed by Abraham Lim and produced by Robert Altman.

Alejandro Lara Dominguez Producer
Alejandro studied law in Mexico City and a Master in Financial and Banking Law in New York City at Fordham Law School. Films and music have been a central part of his life, however exposure to New York’s filmmakers and writers has driven him to get actively involved in film production. A full length feature is his next big goal. As a foreigner in New York he has been fascinated by the coexistence of Mexican culture with all other cultures and therefore thought he would be able to contribute to this films’ elegant and extravagant mix. He recently produced another NYU Grad Film, ‘Breached’ by Laura Richard.

Laura Richard Producer
Laura Richard grew up in San Diego, California. She received a bachelor in Visual Arts emphasis in Film and Video at UCSD where she produced and directed over 14 shorts. During her undergraduate degree she worked as the production coordinator for the feature The Politics of Fur, screened in festivals in LA, London, New York. She currently attends the NYU graduate film program where she has continued directing and producing. She was awarded a graduate assistantship and full scholarship for academic excellence.

Alexis Savino Co-Producer
Alexis hails from Northern Vermont, the small-town, rural New Englandbackdrop for such films as Ethan Frome, Where the Rivers Flow North, The SpitfireGrill, and many more which he was involved in as a child. A graduate of NYU’sTisch School for the Arts (BFA in Drama, Minor in Film Production) has producednumerous short films in the last 5 and a half years for students at NYU and theNY Film Academy. The Seventh Dog is by far his most ambitious producing taskto date.

Alexandre Tannous Composer
Alexandre Tannous has been active as a musician, educator, composer,and as an ethnomusicologist. As a musician, he has performed avariety of musical styles including classical, jazz, rock, folk,Arab, and World music on the double bass, guitar, and percussion.Alexandre holds a Bachelor of Music with a double major in MusicTheory and Composition, and a Master of Arts degree in MusicEducation from Columbia University Teachers College. As a recipientof the Mellon Fellowship he also earned a Master of Arts and aMaster of Philosophy degrees in Ethnomusicology from ColumbiaUniversity. He has taught various music courses at the sameinstitution, and is currently teaching privately. The works ofAlexandre Tannous are frequently performed in the United States andEurope. The World Première performance of his orchestral composition“Métamorphose” under his baton at Carnegie Hall in 1995 received astanding ovation. Alexandre is also active as an ethnomusicologist.He has conducted fieldwork for over nine years with many musiciansin New York City. His ethnomusicological research investigatesissues of acculturation, community, musical identity in an urbansetting, and the concepts of talent, charisma, and leadership.Alexandre is a frequent lecturer in major institutions such asGeorgetown University, Princeton University, Columbia University,and Mount Holyoke College and in museums such as the American Museumof Natural History, the Museum of the City of New York., and theMetropolitan Museum of New York.

Carlos Doria Production Designer
Born in Argentina, Carlos Doria has designed sets in New York City for several years. His latest set designs for theater include the off-Broadway production, Bessie the Butcher of Palm Beach, by Allan David, and the off-off Broadway productions White Widow, a musical by Paul Dick, and Isabelle Banished Isabelle, byP. Rodrigan. His latest film works include Brother, directed by N. Butera, and Seventh Dog, directed by Z. Durra. He also has designs residential and commercial interiors in Washington, DC and New York, and has lectured on production design for the undergraduate film department at Catholic University. He is a graduate of Tisch School for the Arts at New York University, where he received a master’s of fine arts in set and production design.

Lauren Davis Fashion Stylist
Lauren Davis worked in the Fashion Department of American Vogue for the past three years where she collaborated with top Fashion Editors; Grace Coddington, Tonne Goodman and Camilla Nickerson. Her strong professional relationships with fashion designers in Paris, Milan and New York allow her access to the highest level of fashion. Currently, Davis works exclusively with designer Carolina Herrera.
